Wheel of Fortune

How To Get 12x More 5-star Reviews & Make Guests Return

What is it?

Guests scan the QR, leave a review and spin the wheel. If they win a reward, they receive a voucher straight in their email inbox. In this video, you can see what this looks like for your guests.

Go to Settings > Loyalty to create your own game in just a few minutes (or click here). Then add the rewards to your POS system so that everything can properly be recorded. If you use self-order kiosks, please submit a ticket (top right in the help center) to request an integration with the vouchers.

We recommend printing the QR codes on flyers (in take away or delivery bags) and/or plaques on the tables. Make a visual where we recommend to include:

  • A photo of a Wheel of Fortune
  • The QR code
  • Your restaurant logo
  • An inviting message along the lines of “Love your experience? Let us know and spin to win!”
  • A brief explanation: “1. Scan the QR code 2. Leave a 5-star review 3. Come back to spin the wheel and win a reward”
  • All text in your brand colors, both in the text itself and within the Feedelity software (you can customise the colours, logo, background etc. in Feedelity)
  • Make it fun!

Why is this interesting?

Guests often only feel a trigger to leave a review when they’re dissatisfied or angry (shit happens...). A satisfied guest is less likely to spontaneously pick up their mobile and give 5 stars. The Wheel of Fortune now gives that silent majority a fun incentive to do just that!

The result:
  • Happy guests as they win a reward
  • A fun activity your guests will remember
  • 12 times more 5-star reviews
  • More returning customers
  • Extra turnover from vouchers with a minimum spend

How do the vouchers work?

Examples of rewards you can create are the cheaper things on your menu such as a drink, small dessert, ice cream, or a discount (e.g. €2 at a minimal expense of €20). We recommend making the voucher valid for 1 month as of the day after winning the reward. This way, the guests have to return to redeem the reward. About 1 in 20 guests redeem their vouchers.

When a guest spins the wheel and wins one of the rewards you have set, they receive a voucher via email. A voucher is a unique link / QR code. Anyone can open the link (or scan the QR code) and will be prompted “are you sure you want to redeem your voucher” and you will have to confirm and accept. This can only happen once. A second time it would say “this voucher has already been redeemed and cannot be used again”.

In Feedelity, you will be able to see how many vouchers have been redeemed this way  and by whom in Settings > Loyalty > Vouchers.
Before launching the Wheel of Fortune, it is important you add the rewards to your POS system so that everything can properly be recorded by you and your staff.

In conclusion, what are the steps you have to take before launching the wheel of fortune?

1. Go to the Feedelity settings to create and personalize the Wheel Of Fortune. Decide on rewards.

2. Add the rewards as buttons in your POS system and inform your team how guests can redeem the rewards and how staff must log it into the POS.

3. Make fun flyers or plaques with the wheel of fortune QR on it.

That’s it! Enoy the 5 stars and recurring revenue!
